Dr. Nabil EL KADHI is the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Development
at Applied Science University (Bahrain). He has more than 25 years of experience
in academia and over 15 years in the management of higher education institutions,
with exposure to European and Middle East and North Africa academic systems.
He assumed positions ranging from Project Manager and Department Head to Lab
Director, Master Programs Director, Dean, Provost, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for
Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor, and President, contributing significantly
to institutional excellence and applied research projects.
His research and innovation work focuses on Data and Cloud Security and Privacy,
Smart Cities and Internet of Things, Digital Transformation and Artificial
Intelligence, Secure Payment systems, Smart Cards, and Cloud-based applications.
Dr. EL KADHI is a recognized futurist in education and innovation and was selected
among the 50 most Impactful International Leaders in Smart Cities and Smart
Applications. He served as President or Vice-President of several think tanks
and associations including Smart Cities Council, Future University, and the
Tunisian Association of Future Foresight.
He contributed to the design and revision of graduate and postgraduate curricula
in France, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Tunisia, and the UAE. Since 2006, his focus has
been on institutional strategies, research, curricula development, and quality
assurance in higher education.
Dr. EL KADHI is an ABET Program Evaluator and external reviewer for OAAA (Oman)
and NCAAA (Saudi Arabia), and has served as an external consultant to several
international universities.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Information Technology earned jointly
from FST Tunisia and France at the INRIA Lab. He has more than 60 international
publications indexed by ACM, IEEE, DBLP, and others, and regularly serves as
reviewer, keynote speaker, and conference chair.
His expertise includes Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Smart Cities
Security, Cloud Security, Cryptology, Instruction and Assessment, and Digital
Transformation. He is also an entrepreneur and innovator, contributing to the
establishment of consultancy firms such as KnK Partner in France.
